We started coding Karmasoft in the winter of 2001, while attending a Classic 26+2 Yoga Teacher Training preparing to open our own studio, and unable to find software that reflected how we wanted to run it.

We started coding Karmasoft during the winter of 2001, while attending a Classic 26+2 Yoga Teacher Training. At the time, we were preparing to open our own yoga studio and quickly realized that none of the software available reflected how we wanted to run our business or serve our students.
So we built our own.
Karmasoft became the software we used every day when our studio opened in 2003. It wasn’t created in a boardroom or by people guessing what yoga studios needed. It was built behind the front desk, between classes, through teacher trainings, workshops, and thousands of conversations with students and staff.
More than twenty years later, that same philosophy still guides everything we build.
Our Story
Karmasoft was founded on a simple belief: strong communication with students, teachers, and the wider community — combined with sound business practices — is essential to the longevity of a yoga studio.
We’ve intentionally remained a small company. That’s by design.
Being small allows us to listen closely to our clients, respond quickly, and adapt when studios need something new. We’re not interested in building software for everyone; we’re focused on building the best software for independent yoga and wellness studios.
When the world changed during the pandemic, we were the first studio management platform to offer integrated Zoom classes and Video On Demand at no additional cost — because we believed supporting our community mattered more than creating another revenue stream.
Today, Karmasoft supports hundreds of studios around the world. We’re proud to provide powerful, beautifully designed software at a price that’s accessible to studios of every size — helping them spend less time managing technology and more time serving their community.
